Special Olympics Canada Foundation enriches the lives of Canadians with an intellectual disability through sport, but we can’t do it alone. Each year, special events are held across Canada to help raise funds for our athletes.

motionball is a not-for-profit organization that builds awareness and raises funds for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.  motionball's mandate is to introduce the next generation of volunteers and donors to the Special Olympics movement through integrated social and sporting events.

With an abiding enthusiam for sport, and a strong belief in its benefits to society nutured over a lifetime in television sports production, retirement from TSN provided Mr. Jim Thomspon the unique opportunity to invest his energies in the advacement of high performance sport in Canada. CF24 Presented by Reebok Canada
Each year, CrossFit gyms across Canada come together to work out for 24hours straight. Teams of 3 perform a 10 minute WOD every hour on the hour for 24 consecutive hours. Launched in Calgary of 2011 with just 4 teams and 1 gym, this event has expanded to include over 50 teams in 6 gyms across Canada.
